This is amazing! I love your work and the heartfelt messages of hope and awareness. In our annual camp/retreat for persons with HD in Alberta, Canada - participants have created messages of hope for other similar Canadian camps which are then quilted by a staff member for presentation. I would love to be able to share your work at our next retreat taking place in late August of this year. Thanks for posting this!
Thank you for your kind words, anjacouto - they are much appreciated! I'm delighted to hear of your involvement with the annual camp/retreat for persons with HD and would love you to share my work whenever and wherever you wish :o) One of my earliest online friends was a gentleman with Huntington's Disease from Ontario and I know he enjoyed attending the camps. I was able to meet him when we both attended the first ever gathering of online friends in Michigan - in fact, I shared a room with him and his wife and was applauded by fellow guests when I complained about the hotel's inappropriate response to his special needs. I can never imagine a time when I won't be involved in trying to improve things for people with HD and their families despite already having lost my husband to the disease over 5 years ago. Keep up the good work! xox
